PROCEDURE:
An original oil portrait is a collaboration between artist and patron. Portraits vary considerably. So to meet your needs we begin the process by discussing the specifics of your portrait. We discuss the qualities you would like captured and the personality and interests of the sitter. I answer your questions regarding the style, mood and design you may be looking for in your painting.
The next step is the photography session. Patron, the sitter, and myself get to know one another on a more personal basis. I set up lighting and photograph the sitter in several poses. I choose an appropriate image based on sketches and photographs and compile the images for the painting. During the painting process some additional sittings from life can be helpful.
Within time the completed portrait painting will be delivered to you to be enjoyed for generations to come. |

PRICING:
Portrait fees start at $2,000. Pricing is based on the size of the painting, the number of subjects and how much of the subject is depicted, the complexity of the clothing, props and background. |
